#230

So, after almost 2 weeks, I'm going to update! That's right! YAY! And to update everybody...

I moved into Ashford Terrace #230, 2 weekends ago. Oh yes! It was fun! My dad came up on Saturday along with Amanda and her parents, brother, and Stuckey (old friend from high school). My daddy brought up a kitchen table that his friend gave him for free! :) I love free stuff! Then on Sunday, my momma, stepdad, sister, and sister's b/f came up. That was fun too. Except my sister laid around more than she helped out! Oh well...I think it was for the best b/c she could have been whining all day, but she wasn't.

So, I've been here for almost 2 weeks. Today, I've gotta go clean my old apartment, turn in the keys, drop off our old cable modem at Knology (wherever the heck that is), pay the knology bill, study, and go to work!

I have a final on Friday. And I've figured up that I can get an A in the class if I get a 100 on the test! :) Maybe I should go talk to the teacher! He just might could round up my grade. Because I do need that A to keep my scholarship...

In other news, I'm broke, or will be when I pay Knology and my next month's rent! So, maybe I should stop spending money on pointless things....NAH!

Um, anything else I need to update on??? Oh, if you wanna see my new apartment, just lemme know...I'm always happy to show ya around! :)

Well, I think that's it... I prolly wont' update until after my final on Friday, unless I'm gonna procrastinate! :) hehe, l8r g8rs!

I love that song! BarlowGirl is so awesome! I was supposed to work tonight, but Melody, this girl from work, brought her daughters by and they said they were going to the BarlowGirl concert that night and they had an extra ticket... so it was just meant to be! I mean, I hadn't had a table in an hour and we had 3 people there... So i just asked my manager if it was alright... and she let me go! YES! I was like 1 of 4 college students there... okay, I only knew of those other college students. But it was a blast! I could harldy talk after the concert! :) I bought a new shirt and a new bracelet! You'll just hafta see them on me! :) They're just so darn cute!

In other news, Bob... Amanda picked up our keys today for our NEW ASHFORD TERRACE APARTMENTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YES, that's right folks, Kim is moving into #230 this very weekend! it's a one time only chance to help her too! She needs a few manly men to help her on Sunday afternoon to move, not 1 but 2 large objects! Yes, that's right, if you take this offer now, you can help her move her washer, but if you call right now, we'll also include the dryer too... at no extra cost! But wait, there's more! You'll get a chance to even help her and her parents move her desk and dresser as well! Just call today within the next 20 minutes!!!

Workin' Hard...or Hardly Workin'?

Well, another week, another paycheck! So this week's paycheck is totally awesome...definitely can't complain...God is good! ;) And I'm back to filling in for people! Summer quit this week and other people are not coming in, so... My name is Kim, and I'll be your slave, I mean, server. I am currently packing to move into my new apartment later this week! :0 Can't wait!

Oh, and speaking of locking your keys...I was messing around w/ my phone today, and I mashed this button...it locked the keys on my phone. I didn't know that you even needed to lock your keys on a flip phone, but you can... well, I didn't know the code to unlock them!!! So, I was playing w/ it for like 10 minutes! I couldn't figure it out! Then I used the last 4 digits of my phone number and it worked!!! Rock on! \m/

Okay, I"m gonna pack as much as I can tonight and then read some Harry Potter! :) fun fun! I love you ALL and am so glad you are my friend! :p peace out

Sloppy Joe

Hey! i love sloppy joes! I made some on Monday night. Beth came over and ate w/ me. And I've been eating them for lunch each day since then! Mmmm... I finish them off tomorrow! :) Then I'm gonna cook some Tuna Helper. I bought a box of chicken helper, but i've never had that...i might just try it instead!

Oh, funny/stupid thing that happened to me yesterday: I locked my keys in my car at Quizno's right before Crusade! I was panicking inside Quizno's. But then I walked out to my car...Yep, the doors were locked and there were my keys sitting in my ignition! BUT! I left my passenger side window down! Dummy me! I thanked God for my dumb mistake there! I'd hafta call amanda to come and unlock me. During my freshman year, we decided to get keys of each other's cars made to give to each other. She still has mine, i lost hers...oops! But the only other time i locked my keys in my car, she was in cullman...I had to go get another one made. (i was desperate b/c the car was still running).

We move in to Ashford Terrace next week!!! So the apartment is full of boxes...and if anybody has any extra boxes they dont need...send them my way please!!!

Wanna go out?

OMG! i had to bartend tonight b/c Joel had a bbq to go to and he was trying to give Summer some more hours. So, it was a normal night at the bar. Actually, it was better than normal b/c I didn't really have any creeps come in. I had a couple of newcomers though. And some really good tippers! :)

But when I was trying to leave, the two new guys were still there! One was wanting to watch some race but we couldn't stay open that long, so we called him a cab. When I finally finished my closing sidework, we told the guys they were welcome to sit outside. They sorta took their time leaving, I noticed. I made sure to stay w/ Claire my manager b/c i kinda knew what was about to happen.

They guys went outside and were just talking. I finally clocked out and me and Claire stepped outside to join them. I told Claire bye and started walking to my car. I was half-way there when the one guy that wasn't actually waiting on a cab asked me to hold up. I was thinking, oh, no, here it comes. And he did. He asked me if i wanted to go out tonight. I didn't know how to let him down, but i just said that i had to be at church at 8 in the morning to babysit for the early service. And he was shocked or something. I dunno. It was just weird! I called Tami as soon as I left the parking lot. What a night!

Yeah, Right

Okay, so instead of "going out" tonight, I'm working now. Kristen called me and said that Mark couldn't make it tonight, but we're postponing it till August when she gets back from Thailand. She leaves on Tuesday, so keep her in your prayers! And I hafta work tonight...that sucks. I was gonna go out w/ mis amigas. I tried to get out of it b/c I know summer wanted to work. But my boss said she "needed" me there. Yeah, whatever. I'm loved!

I hope I can get some more hours next week. I need to start really saving my money for the fall/spring. My car needs to be paid off by December. My mom is paying for it. I paid my down payment, but mom wants it paid off b/c Mallory is getting a car in December. Relatively, that's the same time I got another car during my senior year of high school. But my sister is already driving her 2nd car! Her first one (which was just as nice as the car i'm driving) got wrecked by her then 15 year old best friend. It was a 2000 Cavalier. Very nice for a 16 year old to drive...compared to me at least...I drove a stupid '87 mustang. My car was just as old as my sister! but now I drive a 2001 Mazda 626. And my sister drives my mom's old car, a 1997 Mazda Protege. And my mom bought a '92 just b/c my sister is spoiled and wouldn't drive anything older than a '95! Oh, so many things irritate me about how differently me and my sister were raised. And how she thinks she should still be raised w/ some of the same privileges as me. But we are totally different in so many ways! And she has gotten so many things that I tried to get when i was in high school, but momma wouldn't let me! Oh, it makes me so mad!

Okay, i didn't mean to type all that. I keep trying to be un-frustrated w/ that whole situation, but it's hard. I'm bitter about it, but i know i dont need to be! I'm gonna try and get over it by the time mallory gets her car. but i have a feeling it's gonna get worse b/c she's gonna actually pick out a car that she wants and likes. and momma has actually helped her look both times, when momma wouldn't look w/ me when i was 16 and she barely would look when i got my first car! Okay, time to go before i start on something else!

TETRIS!

Yes! Tetris is my favorite video game to play! I love playing the tetris/dr. mario combo on my Super Nintendo! Me and Amanda just played 3 games! YAY! I love it! It just makes me so happy to play!

I went home tonight to watch my 5 year old cousin play t-ball, but they got rained out! I missed the first girls' BS of the summer to get rained out! ugh! oh, well, i had fun w/ my family. I cooked supper for my mom, stepdad, and sister. Then i went across the road to play w/ my 2 little cousins! We played cowboys, and jump rope, and we jumped on their little trampoline! Then i went back home, and my family didn't want me to leave but i have to be at work at 9:30 in the morning and i hafta work ALL day! FUN! I dont mind b/c i've only worked once this week, so i need some moolah!

In other news, I'm going out this Saturday night... Me, Kristen, Neil, and this guy Mark. Not sure what to expect right now, but we'll see...
